A plan of No.56 Auckland Street, Vauxhall, the subject of a compulsory purchase order from the LCC in 1967 to clear the site, providing open space amenities. The premises of F Frisby Tobacconist, had accommodation above occupied by Mrs H Frisby and Mr & Mrs Johnson, daughter and son-in-law. CPOs in the post-war period were mainly used to provide sites for open spaces, schools and health care facilities.
