A letter is filed from the owner of the Hall, Mr G Morrison; 'In reply to your demand for £15:5:0 for making the road....this hall is used for religious services only....and hope you will be able to exempt us also'. From Apportionment Files dated 8th July 1889. The files show the apportionment of costs to each owner for the construction of paths and roadways adjacent to their properties.
