THRALE HOUSE, STREATHAM PARK, STREATHAM

Streatham Park, the country seat of Thos. Harrison Esqr. Also known as Thrale House, it was made famous by the writings of Dr Johnson who was a frequent visitor here when Mr and Mrs Thrale were in residence.  The house was demolished in 1863. Watercolour by unknown artist in the 18th century style. Ref. SPd?
