ANTI-CHAMBERLAIN GRAFFITI, 272 KENNINGTON PARK ROAD

ANTI-CHAMBERLAIN GRAFFITI, 272 KENNINGTON PARK ROAD

A passerby reading graffiti, 'HERR CHAMBERLAIN MUST GO', with a B added (for gob). Chalked-up on the hoarding at 272 Kennington Park Road, the former premises of Dr C and Dr Eileen Lawlor. The reference is probably regarding Prime Minister Chamberlain's signing the Munich Agreement to appease Nazi Germany. No.272 was demolished along with adjacent premises for the construction of Alverstone House.
