The Royal Circus in Great Surrey Street, Blackfriars Road, was established in 1782 as the Royal Circus and Equestrian Philharmonic Academy, however it burnt down in 1799 but was rebuilt and 10 years later the building became the Surrey Theatre. From Surrey Prints Collection, ID: SP3/951/ROY.1
