363 KENNINGTON LANE, VAUXHALL

No.363 Kennington Road was once known as Eldon House, built in 1824 by John Wright Snow as a row of houses known as Eldon Place - this was No.3. It is thought the architect was possibly J.M.Gandy who worked with Sir John Soane. In 1892 it was bequeathed by Edward Fooks to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Southwark as a priests' residence.
