52-55 CHESTER STREET, KENNINGTON

Details of a street and building plan for Nos 52-55 at the south-east end of Chester Street, Kennington (now Chester Way) - also shown are Nos 1-3 Olive Place and the King's Arms publich house on the Upper Kennington Lane corner. The drawing appears to illustrate the sewer system behind the properties. It is noted: 'the sewer is chocked up with deposits, the ground should be opened to make a proper inspection'. The Kennington Lane sewer is recorded with some deposits 1' 6" deep in a sewer measuring 4'6" x 3'6". From Drainage Records
