CRANE JIB REMOVAL, VAUXHALL HELICOPTER CRASH

One of the largest UK mobile truck cranes being assembled at Vauxhall Cross to remove the damaged crane jib at St George Wharf Tower after a helicopter collision in dense fog on the morning of 16th January 2013. This was the first fatal helicopter crash in central London since 1976 when records began - fatalities were the pilot, Pete Barnes and a pedestrian, Matthew Wood.
