CLARENCE HOUSE SCHOOL, CLAPHAM COMMON NORTH SIDE, CLAPHAM

No.22, Clapham Common North Side, viewed from the rear. For many years called Clarence House School and wrongly called Captain Cook's House. The poet Thomas Hood studied here and described the place in a poem. Now private residences, the archway still exist. Etching by Albert Warren, c.1920.
