St Michael's Convent, Park Hill, formerly the property of Henry Tate, the sugar magnate (Tate and Lyle), who lived here from1885. A philanthropist who built the Tate Libraries in Brixton, South Lambeth and Streatham and art collector who established the Tate Gallery in London. This view looking west from the main building towards the garden and pond, July 1st 1939.
