Christ Church at the junction of Westminster Road and Kennington Road. The church was built in 1874-76, with the tower foundation stone laid by the American Ambassador. This was built at a cost of £5,000 and was partly-funded by the Congregational Church in America, and the spire known as the 'Lincoln Tower' has stars and stripes for decoration. Postcard, c.1910
