Distribution of gifts from the West Country by the W.V.S. for refurnishing residences after Flying Bomb damage. Streatham received 97 vanloads of furniture from the West Country. The Women's Voluntary Service were based at 128, Streatham High Road and carried out a very successful salvage campaign and organised salvage 'dumps' on many roads.
