BEDFORD ROW, STREATHAM HIGH ROAD, STREATHAM

This early view of Streatham High Road shows the picturesque row of cottages and shops opposite Streatham Green known as Bedford Row after the Duke of Bedford. They were demolished in the early 1880s and replaced by a four storey Victorian parade of shops and apartments which still exists today.
