No 46 Clapham Common South Side, 'Stowey House' is partly seen on the extreme left was demolished in 1966 to make way for Henry Thornton School. No 47 and 'Brook House', No 48 seen in the centre, were demolished and replaced by a seven-storey building in 1986. Part of a large ornate terraced building, No 49-52 is just visible on the right and was the home of the actor and playright, Noel Coward c.1915, who lived with his parents at No 50, then known as Ben Lomond. This view looking south-east was taken on September 19th 1966.
