Clarence House, originally Clarence Villa was built c.1831 to the east of Clarence Avenue. The seven acres it occupied included a stables, piggeries, a cucumber house, a melon house and a coach house. This view shows the front of the house and out-houses in a derelict condition prior to being demolished as part of a social housing programme by the local authority, and replaced by Clapham Park Estate.
