View showing a small holding sited alongside the highway to London. The two farms located in the area near the Croydon Road in the early 1800s were Bridgewater Farm and Norbury Farm. The former, as it lay nearer the main road and had the River Graveney running closeby, may have been the one shown in the picture. However, it should be noted that Norbury Farm is also situated close to Norbury Brook, on the other side of the main road. Coloured aquatint and etching by R. Laurie, drawn by J. Dillon. Published by John Harris.
