Single Image Page

A page from the 'Randum Poor' accounts shows three separate black people in receipt of relief in November 1722. John Duke (11 & 18 Nov) and 'the Black woman of Brixton Causeway' (3Nov) all receive payments for being sick or, in the woman's case, for helping nurse her baby. Lambeth Church Warden's Accounts, (1716 - 1732) page 124.
