Pascal Street lies to the west of Wandsworth Road. This view, looking towards the railway lines, shows the typical cottage style terraces that were demolished as part of the Hemans Street Estate development, one of the first social housing schemes to be embarked on by Lambeth Council to provide quality low cost flats as a nationwide slum-clearance programme during the late1930s. Bramley Crescent and Apple Blossom Court, part of a more recent development, stands on this site.
