Dick Sheppard School, the L.C.C. secondary school for girls opened in Tulse Hill in September 1955. Considered to be a modern school with all the latest equipment, this view shows the magnificent Assembly Hall. The school was closed down in 1994 and the site redeveloped for private housing. Photograph published in The Sphere, August 20th 1955.
