STORY TELLING, NORWOOD LIBRARY, WEST NORWOOD

STORY TELLING, NORWOOD LIBRARY, WEST NORWOOD

Based on an idea of Miss D.Bailey of the libraries, every Friday at 5 pm 'The Story Hour' was run by six public libraries for 7 to 11-year-olds. This view shows the story telling initiative in action with a member of staff reading to a group of children at West Norwood public library. Article and photograph from a contemporary journal, c.1955.
