Engraving entitled 'Vauxhall Sailing Match'. Organised by the Vauxhall Pleasure Garden management, these popular matches were watched by large gatherings on both sides of the river. The matches generally started from Blackfriars Bridge to Putney Bridge, returning to Cumberland Gardens, Vauxhall. Engraving published by J.Wheble, September 1st, 1800.
