Delft plate produced at the Lambeth High Street pottery of William and Abigail Griffith and dated to the mid 1770s, 7 inches dia. The plate is an imitation of the chinese porcelain imports of the time. Lambeth was a major producer of delft pottery (tin glaze ware) during the 17th and 18th centuries and later of stoneware, culminating in the establishment of Doultons pottery in the 19th century.
