Letter dated 3rd November 1952 from Lambeth Town Clerk to Brigadier John Smyth, MP for Norwood (which then included part of Brixton as his constituency) informing him of the size of the Black population in Brixton at the time and voicing his concerns about the lack of accommodation and high rents charged by unscrupulous landlords.
