Boys who were taking part in a comic act, have posed for the camera. The comic act was possibly part of an annual Festival. The annual Festival was held on a day near to the founder's birthday of 19 June - and so was also known as Founder's Day. Visitors could tour the premises and meet staff and children as well as watch displays put on by the boys and girls.
