NATIONAL THEATRE, SOUTH BANK, WATERLOO

The Royal National Theatre, designed by the architect Denys Lasdun, was opened in 1976. The building contains three theatres, Lyttleton, Olivier and Cottesloe. Parts of the interior were refurbished in 1997 and a new external performance area 'Theatre Square' was added.
