Squadron 148, based in Brindisi during World War II, flew Halifaxes and Lancasters and were chiefly employed in dropping supplies and SOE agents throughout occupied eastern Europe, including Poland and Rumania.Photograph donated by Mr.Volrath (Flight Sgt), front row, far right, a resident of Streatham, Lambeth.
