WATERLOO BRIDGE, WATERLOO

WATERLOO BRIDGE, WATERLOO

Waterloo Bridge on a winter's day. The bridge was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and work began with the demolition of the old Waterloo Bridge in 1937. The construction was delayed by World War II, although some of the work at the time was carried out by women. It did not fully open until November 1944.
