ST MARK’S PRIMARY SCHOOL, HARLEYFORD ROAD, VAUXHALL

Main block of St. Mark's School, which was built in 1824-5 at a cost of £2,581 as the Parochial primary school for the poor children of the Kennington District. A separate block for boys and for girls was built on either side by the architect, Mr J Bailey of Buxton Place, Lambeth. It is one of the oldest church schools still being used in London.
