TULSE HILL HOTEL, NORWOOD ROAD

TULSE HILL HOTEL, NORWOOD ROAD

The Tulse Hill Hotel was built in 1840 and has not altered much since it served as the main tavern on Norwood Lane (now Norwood Road) when it was a muddy track leading to Herne Hill. The area was named after the Tulse family who were first recorded in the parish in 1656. Photographed on the 18th February 2005. Digital image courtesy of Keith Holdaway, 2004.
