A letter from the Mayoress of Lambeth to Vera Cohen of the West Norwood WVS, to thank her for fund raising to provide food parcels for prisoners of war. Vera had joined the WVS in 1938 and helped set up emergency feeding centres and also began 'meals on wheels' for the eldery in Southwark during World War II.Digital image by kind permission of Vera Calvin.
