No 38 Palace Road is one of many large detached houses built along Palace Road. The road was for a time a private gated road forming part of the Roupell Park Estate. It is named after the Crystal Palace which was rebuilt on Sydenham Hill in 1854.Digital image by kind permission of Graham Gower.
