View of The Shrubbery seen from the grounds with George Druce and his younger brother posing to the left. The Druce family left the house in 1888 and in 1894 the mansion became Streatham College for Girls. Originally built by Rev. James Tattersall, the Rector of Streatham in c.1770, the building was demolished in 1933 to build Central Parade on Streatham High Road. Previously the site was occupied by the Tile House and a Tile Kiln, which was operating from the early 16th century.
