A Vulcan delivery van for J.C and J.Field Ltd, Upper Marsh Lambeth, manufacturers of candles and soaps, showing Mr F Reid, a Field's employee. The business was the oldest candle-making firm in Britain, first established about 1642 and surviving on the same site in Lambeth for 300 years. The factory was damaged during World War II and subsequently demolished.
