Matthew Parker, Archbishop of Canterbury was born on 6th August 1501 and died on 17th May 1575. He was buried at Lambeth Palace. His heart and bowels, which were removed in the embalming process, were placed in the adjacent St Mary's church, where his wife and son were buried.Engraving by W Rintoul of unknown date.
