Advertising posters across a former shop front at 317 Kennington Road (previously No.14 Marlborough Place). No.317 was built c.1787 as Marlborough House by William Edridge and his initials appear on a central plaque. The terraced houses on the left were added in 1790-1 and the shops were authorised to be built across the front gardens by the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1872.
