MOSTYN ROAD METHODIST CHURCH, BRIXTON

Mostyn Road Methodist Church, Brixton North, was designed by John Tarring & Sons and the foundation stone laid in 1868. It was damaged in World War II, but restored in 1954-55 only to be demolished c.1982 and replaced by a small brick church with adjacent housing. The small turret on the left was the Sunday School.Photograph by M.D.Trace, dated September 1970.
