Rosendale Garage adjacent to a Regency house in Park Hall Road, next to Norwood Cemetery boundary. The Royal Coat of Arms was given to a previous owner, a Mr Herring, in 1835. He was renowned as a dealer in 'wild and fancy' animals, birds and fish, and had a private zoo in the garden. He supplied William IV with golden pheasants and Queen Victoria with goldfish for Buckingham Palace. The gateway was demolished in 1938, but the giraffe house survived until c.1970.
