Leaflet quoting the South London Press regarding Colonel Ford and Archbishop's Park. Col. Ford was the member of the London County Council who first proposed the creation of the park in 1898. Archbishop Temple gave the land and the original layout included a cricket ground, a child's gymnasium and a playground for women and children only.
