STOCKWELL BUS GARAGE, LANSDOWNE WAY, STOCKWELL

The Stockwell Bus Garage in Lansdowne Way, Stockwell, was built in 1950-54 and designed by Adie Button & Partners with Thomas Bilbow, architect to London Transport. The garage is noted for its capacity to hold 200 buses under a single-span concrete roof. Photograph by John Maltby, dated 27th February 1964.
