PREFABS, ROYAL STREET, LAMBETH

PREFABS, ROYAL STREET, LAMBETH

Prefabricated housing in Royal Street, Lambeth, erected post-World War II on a bomb site to provide emergency housing. The last house survived until the 1990s. Beyond is the construction site of the new buildings for St Thomas's Hospital, and Scotland Yard can be seen across the river.
