ARTWORK BY INKFETISH, AYTOUN STREET, STOCKWELL

Artwork of a Geisha girl by Inkfetish, part of a collaborative piece at the Stockwell 'Hall of Fame' in Aytoun Road. Inkfetish remarks: "I'm a legitimate artist and illustrator that sometimes chooses to paint walls in order to see my work on a larger scale and share it with the public. The piece was called 'Fairwell my Skullcubine'...I've basically always been influenced by Japanese imagery and given my background in illustration, tend to focus more on figurative work of a surreal nature rather than traditional graffiti based on letterforms." This former playground enclosure surrounded by high concrete walls on the Stockwell Park Estate, has attracted graffiti artists for many years. Although initially frowned upon, it is now tolerated by the council and the resulting artworks produced are usually of high quality. Digital image dated 24th February 2008. From the Graffiti Gallery, recording Lambeth's urban art
