Carnival costumes being prepared by volunteers for South Connections Mas Band at the Oval House Theatre in Kennington. The costume band was formed in 1985, when they were known as Ovalionz and their first Notting Hill Carnival was in 1986. These designs for the 2009 carnival were by the fashion and costume designer Shaun Carrington who has worked with South Connections since 2005. He chose ocean cruising as a theme - hence the title, 'All Aboard'.
