Naine Woodrow throwing a bowl at the North Street Pottery, Clapham. She studied her craft for 5 years in Japan and here demonstrates the technique of quickly creating multiple pots from one slab of clay placed on her potter's wheel. Adjacent is the liquid glaze applied with a brush and above, a row of finished bowls that will partially dry before being fired. The pottery was established by Naine and Mary Neville in 1978, initially as a collective for women potters. Digital image dated 8th September 2009
