UPPER GROUND, WATERLOO

UPPER GROUND, WATERLOO

View north-east of Upper Ground, Waterloo, before it was extensively redeveloped and the warehouses in the background demolished. The Rose and Crown public house on the left, dates from the 1780s, rebuilt in the 19th century, but closed in 1982. The Coin Street redevelopment has since reinstated a pub on the site.
