An architectural drawing by Nicholas Hawksmoor (c1661-1736) for the Garden Front at Ockham, the residence of Lord King, Chief Justice. Hawksmoor was a pupil of Sir Christopher Wren and one of Britain's finest Baroque architects working on Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard and building the West Towers of Westminster Abbey. He is listed in Kennington Manor records as being a tenant with property in Lambeth Marsh from 1714-24, at a tenement called 'The Rose'.
