Bedford House School at Brixton Oval was a mixed day and boarding school for boys with an annual fee of 30-50 guineas. Boarders were required to 'bring a knife, fork, spoon and six towels, and have all clothing marked plainly'. The school was demolished for the building of the Tate Library on the site.
