CHRIST CHURCH, BRIXTON ROAD, BRIXTON NORTH

Christ Church in Brixton Road, a 'plan shewing drainage required for Industrial Schools at the back of Christ Church, North Brixton'. Drawn by Mr Thomas Rider, builder of Borough and dated 26th August 1856. Due to dilapidation and over-crowding this earlier church was demolished in 1896 and replaced with one of a 'Byzantine-Romanesque' design by Beresford Pite. From Drainage Records
