SOUTH LONDON IMMORTALS CLUB LETTERHEAD

Letter from Stanley Dinham, the Vice-Chairman of the South London Immortals Club. The aims of the club were 'to honour the old immortals and create new ones', plus 'to raise the cultural standards of South London'. It was launched in 1946 and those old immortals associated with the area include; Chaucer, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Wren, Pepys, Dr Johnson, Shelley, Sullivan, Dickens and Blake.
