'View of the Infide of Lollard's Tower, with the manner of torturing the Protestants, by Order of Bishop Bonner, during the Reign of Queen Mary'. Edmund Bonner was Bishop of London from 1539-49 and again in 1553-59. He was known as 'Bloody Bonner', due to his notoriety for his role in the persecution and torture of heretics during the reign of Catholic Queen Mary I, 'Bloody Mary'.
