Wedding group photograph, taken outside Raleigh Park Baptist Church, Brixton Hill. The bride and the bridesmaids worked as nurses in London. The groom, who had arrived in England in 1955 was employed as a bus conductor at the time and later worked for the G.P.O. following which he started a successful career in journalism and teaching. The best man, Roy Henry, seen on the far left, was a distinguished bass baritone who had performed at many London concert halls including the Wigmore Hall.Wedding album photograph, 24th June1961Copyright with donor.
